The doctor explains why oatmeal may not be healthy. 

This belief is increasingly expressed. His advice is to stop eating oatmeal daily immediately.  

He says oatmeal is not a superfood, recovery food, or easy carbohydrate to digest, despite marketing claims.  

Because it's heavy in phytic acid, which drains nutrients, he says it's none of these.  


This chemical is found in plants and cereals like oats. Excessive eating deprives the body of nutrition.  

The second reason he proposes we quit eating it is that it raises insulin levels more than ice cream.  

Eek! Starting the day with oatmeal or oat milk latte can create blood sugar imbalance and obesity.  

Could eating it with cream, butter, or nuts reduce this spike? We want to know the answer.
